Step 1.- Create a user in Extremadurathome:
- Open the following web URL http://boinc.unex.es/extremadurathome in your web browser.
- Click on the link "Únase".
- Fill in the form:
- USER ID: is the user name that you want to have within Extremadurathome.
- PASSWORD: is the password that you want to have for log in into Extremadurathome. You will have to repeat the password twice, in order to avoid typos.
- and click on the button: "Enviar consulta".
Step 2.- Install BOINC:
BOINC is an application that connects your computer to Extremadurathome. This application employs your computing resources (CPU, memory, hard disk, etc.). when it is idle, so in this way, you are participating with scientific research by donating your computer idle time to different scientific research projects.
Bellow are steps for installing the BOINC client for Windows, GNU/Linux and Mac OS X.

Step 3.- Attaching BOINC to Extremadurathome:
- The first time that BOINC is launched, it will try to connect to a BOINC project. We have to cancel this action, as we want to join Extremadurathome.org Account Manager. In order to do this, we have to:
- Change the "default view" into "Advance view" (click on the button that it says: Advance view).
- Then, click on Tools -> Join an Account Manager.
- Select the Extremadurathome.org account manager or introduce the following URL in the URL box: http://boinc.unex.es/extremadurathome
- Fill in the user name and password that we have entered before in http://boinc.unex.es/extremadurathome
Step 4.- Congratulations you have joined Extremadurathome:
- Now you are connected to Extremadurathome.
- Each time that you want to collaborate with science, you have to launch your BOINC client software and automatically it will start to collaborate with sciente (don't forget to vote for the BOINC projects!).
