Extramdurathome stills growing: we are more that 500 volunteers. Thanks to the collaboration of hundreds of users in Spain --mainly-- and in the world, the Extremadurathome community grows and helps science donating its computer resources to research projects like Setiathome or Ibercivis. Remember that now it is possible to follow the nes of Extremadurathome in Identi.ca and Twitter.

With the new upgrade in Jarifa, Extremadurathome is now publishing its automatically which projects are active each month in our Identi.ca and Twitter accounts. Additionally we are also publishing the new volunteers that join our community. Thus, if you have an account in any of those social networks, follow us and become a follower of Extremadurathome.

From the 5th to 10th of March of 2010, the main developer of Jarifa software, was invited to give a talk in Taipei and Beijing about the features of Jarifa and the success example of the Spanish project Extremadurathome.org.  The 17th of February of 2010, the Centro Universitario de Mérida held an Open Day. During this event, the Extremadurathome.org project was presented to the audience, promoting science among high school students of Mérida, Spain.

From now on, it is possible to vote for those projects that you like most in the following web site: http://boinc.unex.es/extremadurathome. In this web, you can choose which project is your favorite and view the results of the poll. Thanks to this new feature, only registered users will be able to vote. To vote you only have to log in (with your user name and password) and choose a project from a list of projects. Additionally, you will be able to know your rank position.
