Climateprediction.net

E-mail Print PDF

Is the Earth experiencing a climate change? Nowadays, different researchers are discussing about the climate change of Earth. If it is true, a climate change will affect important issues such as food production, water reserves, energy demand, etc. so it is really important to know if there is climate change.

The current researches suggest that it is probably that during the next century the Earth's temperature will raise. The project Climateprediction.net  tries to show, for the first time, how it will occur this more or less by making weather forecasts up to 2080 and by testing the climate models.

To sum up, if you are interested on the climate change and its consequences, you can vote for this project in order to run a climate model in your computer and collaborate with the climate prediction of our Earth planet.

Changing projects

E-mail Print PDF
Some days ago, the projects supported by the Extremadurathome community were changed. The two new  attached projects are: Climateprediction and Rosetta@home.

Rosetta@home is not actually running because the project employs an old version of the BOINC server, and thus it is not possible to attach the Extremadurathome computers to the project. We have got in contact with them, and we are waiting when will be possible to attach our computers to the project. Meanwhile, in replacement of Rosetta@home, we have attached the next most voted project: Seti@home.
