El proyecto Extremadur@home ha sido mostrado recientemente a profesores de secundaria de Extremadura. Como parte de la Jornadas para la Inmersión Científico Tecnológica, los profesores han tenido la oportunidad de conocer el proyecto Extremadur@home, y convertirse en voluntarios científicos.

Información detallada de las Jornadas, celebradas como parte del proyecto School of Computing, y gestionadas por el Centro de Profesores y Recursos de Almendralejo, puede encontrarse en la web de School of Computing.

Se espera en el año 2012 profundizar en la colaboración entre los proyectos School of Computing y Extremadur@home.

Los estudiantes extremeños de Secundaria conocerán la Ciencia y Tecnología gracias al School of Computing.

School of Computing pretende desarrollar la creatividad, el pensamiento computacional y el interés por la Ciencia y las Tecnologías. Mediante talleres semanales, los estudiantes se convertirán en Ingenieros de estructuras, diseñadores de envases, Programadores, Artistas, Biólogos, Químicos. School of computing convertirá a los jóvenes extremeños en Científicos Voluntarios, en colaboración con el proyecto Extremadura@home.

School of computing es un proyecto organizado por el Consorcio IdenTIC, la Universidad de Extremadura y la Fundación Universidad Sociedad y con el que colaboran IEEE, Citizen Cyberscience Center, Extremadura@home, Ayuntamiento de Almendralejo, y Fundación Ciudadanía.

Young students in Extremadura collaborate with Cern

A number of young students from Extremadura will collaborate with Cern by analysing results generated in the Large Hadron Collider.

Using Volunteer Computing technology, students will connect their home computers to LHC@home project so that particle collision results will be analyzed.

Contratulations to this young students and Extremadura for this oportunity that will surely help to decide future vocations for science and technology.

Extremadura@home in Linex 2010

Linex 2010,has recently - October 20- issued his latest version, allowing users to connect Extremadura@home.

The collaboration with Centro de Excelencia de Sofware Libre José de Espronceda, is thus providing new Linex 2010 users, or those upgrading, to become Extremadura@home volunteers.

University of Extremadura with Extremadura@home

The Centro Universitario de Mérida, part of University of Extremadura (Uex), has recently joined Extremadura@home, providing more than one hundred computers. The setting up of student computer labs has allowed this school to become the first in the UEx collaborating with our comunity.
